The history of the TUNTURI brand dates back to 1922 when the Harkke brothers established a bicycle shop and service in Turk, Finland. Later they started to produce bicycles under license and were very successful due to the quality of production. Within a few years they built a very modern factory for their time and by 1950 they had become the market leader in mopeds. It was the modern technology and expertise gained in the production of bicycles that made the Tunturi brand famous and pushed it ever higher, even in the fitness and healthy lifestyle industry.
